The remains of six people on board a tour helicopter that crashed Thursday on the Hawaiian island of Kauai have been found at the site of the helicopter wreckage in Kokee near Nualolo. The remains were recovered Friday afternoon. The search for the seventh person on board has been suspended due to bad weather but will resume once the weather clears up.
The last communication from the pilot came around 4:40 p.m. local time, about 40 minutes before the helicopter was due to return. At that time the aircraft, a Eurocopter AS350 B2 according to FAA , was leaving Waimeia Canyon.
According to Kauai Fire Department Battalion Cheif Solomon Kanoho ,the passengers were from two families and one family had a group of four.Two of the passengers were minors and identities of the victims have not yet been released as authorities are still notifying the relatives.
