Former President Barack Obama’s 22-year-old daughter Malia Obama has landed a major entertainment gig. Sources tell the outlet that Malia has been hired to join the writers’ room of Donald Glover’s new Amazon project Hive. The “potential” series is “rumored to revolve around a Beyoncé-like figure and stem from writer Janine Nabers (WatchmenAway),” the outlet wrote.

Glover’s new pact with the streaming platform will see the Emmy and Grammy winner produce a number of as-yet undeveloped television projects, such as a potential new series dubbed “Hive.” He tapped writer Janine Nabers (“Watchmen”) to help lead the team which includes the former First Daughter of the United States.

Although the plot is tightly under wraps, sources have revealed that “Hive” will center around a Beyoncé-like character. Malia, 22, is a student in Harvard University’s class of 2021, and this would mark her first professional entertainment gig after several A-list internships, including a stint on the set of HBO’s “Girls” in 2015.

When Malia’s dad, Barack, was a guest on the Bill Simmons Podcast in December, he mentioned how much he relished learning more about his daughters’ personalities as the family quarantined together last year.

“It’s a blessing because all the teenage stuff is kind of gone now and they’re just back, and they love you again and they want to spend time with you,” the former president shared. “And they’re funny. Like I think a lot of families, we went through that first month where we were playing games every night and doing a little arts-and-crafts project, and then slowly they started to get a little bored with us.”
