Brandon Caserta 32, is one of the five men arrested in a plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D). The FBI on Thursday, October 8th announced it had arrested five men and charged six in a plot to kidnap the  Michigan Governor.

A federal indictment against six men associated with the Wolverine Watchmen, a Michigan-based militia group, was unsealed. Six people were charged federally with conspiracy to kidnap, and seven other people, associated with the militia group “Wolverine Watchmen,” were charged by the state, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced. The FBI became aware of the scheme in early 2020 after communications among the group were discovered, and via an undercover agent who met with more than a dozen individuals at a meeting in Dublin, Ohio.

The six charged by the federal government are Michigan residents Adam Fox, 37, Ty Garbin, 24, Kaleb Franks, 26, Daniel Harris, 23, Brandon Caserta, 32, and Delaware resident Barry Croft, 44.
The seven people charged by the state are Paul Bellar, 21, Shawn Fix, 38, Eric Molitor, 36, Michael Null, 38, William Null, 38, Pete Musico, 42, Joseph Morrison, 42. They face a variety of firearm and terror charges.

Brandon Caserta TikTok

Brandon Caserta posted several videos on TikTok, including one in which he is wearing a Hawaiian shirt, the trademark clothing of members of the antigovernment Boogaloo movement.

In a TikTok posted Wednesday, a day before his arrest, Caserta is shown wearing a Hawaiian shirt, which could be a signifier of the Boogaloo Boys, a militia bent on starting a second civil war. Boogaloo Boys are known to wear Hawaiian shirts to showcase support for the movement.

The Boogaloo Boys are known to have a presence in Michigan. A YouTube channel advertised on Caserta’s Facebook page was no longer available on Thursday. It’s unclear when the channel was taken down. However, other videos of Caserta show him armed with a semi-automatic rifle wearing a shirt that says “Fuck the Government.”
